Cover Photo: The Keage Incline (map D, D/E-7/8) is a slope railway that was laid to shuttle boats between the Keage Boat Pier and the Nanzenji Boat Pier. It began operating in1890 and was used until 1948. Along the tracks, which have been recreated to resemble the original appearance, approximately 90 Somei Yoshino cherry trees create an arch of cherry blossoms, showering delicate pink flowers overhead like a cascade.
