Cover Photo: From August 2nd to 18th, Kitano Tenmangu Shrine, dedicated to Michizane Sugawara, the deity of scholarship, culture, and the arts, hosts the Kitano Lantern and Tanabata Light-up (sunset to 20:00). The shrine grounds are beautifully illuminated with the soft glow of lanterns and adorned with colorful traditional Tanabata decorations.
