The intoxicating Hasu, or lotus flowers suggest reincarnation: the wheel-like leaves and the spike-shaped petals imply the perpetual cycle of existence, while the pure flowers arising from mud symbolize the enlightenment any person is capable of achieving. Some even say that nothing is more spiritual and enchanting than a lotus flower as lotus represents purity of the body, speech, and mind.
